The magic’s in the making.
In 1909, Francis Atherton Bean from Minneapolis decided to buy a mill in Moose Jaw, Canada. Soon, the new flour mill under the Robin Hood brand experienced growth. From its very beginnings, the brand followed in the footsteps of the homonymous folk hero, exporting millions of tons of flours and oats to populations in need of humanitarian aid worldwide. By the 1960s Robin Hood had expanded significantly, successfully supplying both the consumer as well as the bakery and food service markets.Robin Hood has come a long way since the days of selling flour in wooden barrels, but its philosophy has remained the same: sensitivity to changing needs.
Today, the prestigious brand is marketed to the retail sector by the American food manufacturer The J.M. Smucker Co., founded in 1897.
